The morning after the workshop was all wrapped up I woke up at sunrise (okay, we snoozed a few times but we made it out) with my beautiful friend Kristina and we had some fun shooting together around the breathtaking grounds at Cedar Lakes Estate. Being there was so inspirational, I wanted to soak every last drop up. Especially for this Florida native there is something so magical about waking up with crisp air and mountains. I love shooting portraits like this and being able to show women that they can have an unconventional boudoir or glamour shoot that makes them feel sexy and gorgeous in a natural way. If these call to you at all, let’s shoot together – barefoot with hair blowing in the wind, it will make my heart happy.

PS – I hand sewed the purple dress. If you are looking for something ethereal for your next shoot let’s chat and I can dream up something lovely for you.

I recently had the absolute honor of helping Felix Kunze with one of his lighting workshops in upstate New York. When I’m not taking pictures you can usually find me working on or designing dresses so when he asked me to style the workshop I sprinted to the nearest fabric store and started dreaming up creations I knew would photograph beautifully. While I was there I couldn’t resist trying to capture a little bit of the spirit of the workshop. The location was to die for and it was such a fun talented group of people to be around, it felt like creative summer camp. Here is a little peek into the workshop. If you are a photographer and are ever considering a workshop I would highly recommend his, he puts so much thought into every last detail and creates a rich learning experience.

On another note, this gorgeous venue Cedar Lakes Estate is a wedding venue. A wedding here would be TO. DIE. FOR. The last picture in this set is where the ceremonies take place – on top of a mountain overlooking the landscape below. If you are looking for an incredible place to get married where you and all your guests get to feel like little kids at camp this venue is such a perfect balance of elegance and whimsy. Oh and please pretty please take me with you to photograph it!

I love working with Alicia and Pat from A&P Design especially when I get to photograph their beautiful little family. Here are a few from their recent session at the park. Sweet Harlow is getting so big and walking all by herself now, she’s so expressive and it’s fun to see a little bit of both her parents in the different faces she makes. Thank you to Amanda at MMD Events for the gorgeous flower crowns, they added so much to the session.

I photographed this sweet couple’s wedding a few years ago and had the absolute joy of meeting their new little girl for some portraits. I loved catching up and seeing their lovely home and her nursery. Her collection of dresses is already bigger than mine (if you know me that is saying a lot) at just a few weeks old, this little doll is so loved and is going to be the most stylish bebe on the block. Isn’t she lovely?

I’m going into the archives a bit for this session, this sweet couple has welcomed their adorable son into the world now but I couldn’t resist posting a few from when they were still waiting on him to arrive. Isn’t she gorgeous?
